Bikers or Petrolheads?
Re: Bikers or Petrolheads?
DIRT BIKES ARE EVIL,AND DANGEROUS! I do not ride the dirt, many do here as we have plenty of back area's. Here even in Memphis their is a riding area called he Bottoms,WOLF RIVER area, trucks, cars, sand biggies and bikes by the dozens.
But I am not the one,I;ll stick to pavement and Deal's Gap, never been down at the Gap,but many have including my Dad but that was an idiot loosing it and running into his lane in a car. I remember the bike was destroyed and my Dad went ballistic on the guys car. But DEALS GAP is now famous world wide, and the finally have some controlled events. The truck ban is nice but the super travel Holmes are still a problem.

Hi I had a pearl white VFR750 FJ in the late 80s and a bright red VFR750 exactly like the one in the picture. Last year I sold my Yamaha 1300XJS and have regretted doing that ever since! I am now in the middle of restoring a Suzuki 200GT that has been stored in a shed for the last 8 years.

I had two 500 two stroke Suzukis in the 70s, Yamaha 350, Triumph Trident. Honda 750 four. Ah, those were the days. Like to see picks of your Suzuki restoration.

I've had a couple of motorbikes. A ZZR 600 was my last one. I'm now into expensive bicycles.

Re: Bikers or Petrolheads?
Its not a nut and bolt rebuild as although it is low mileage they don't command a gret deal. All the plastic is off packed in boxes at the moment, bike is under a cover until the weather improves and I get the motivation to get stuck into it. I got it off a work colleague and rode it back to a mates house, he was going to ride it however it got put into his shed and he never rode it. Now that he is into gardening (the good life!) he wanted rid of it so I pushed it to my place and started the restoration last Sept. Will take some pics soon. I always wanted a 250 Suzuki Hustler in my youth, this one isn't quite so desireable.STEINER wrote:Interesting, magmer wrote:Hi I had a pearl white VFR750 FJ in the late 80s and a bright red VFR750 exactly like the one in the picture.
