I would fix the plasticard on first Jef as it mite distort it when it's not on the tank there is guy who have done it on here and they used a flat ended solder tip the rite size for the zim! . I would try a bit first befor you attempt it on the tank!!

Re: sodering iron zim?
was thinking that. might mod a screwdriver bit to fit in the iron. the filler idea hasn't worked(after doing half th front hull
so think it'll be the iron method now. i really, really hate zimmerit.

What kind of filler did you use. milliput is a good one ! Lucky for me when I got my tamiya king tiger second hand it has allready had it done do I've only got the back plate and the front of the lower hull to do !! I've go a tube of MMD green putty it's good for weld lines as well ! But I've not tried to do zim with it yet but I think if you let it set for about ten mins then it should take the shape of the screwdriver end or a cog if you have one the rite size!!!!

Rite I've found some more info out ! First what ever you use you need to spread it 0.5mm thick then let it set for a bit untill it's tacky and will take the shape of the tool without it pulling the putty or filler up and out of shape!! Allso you could do a small patch at a time! Just incase it starts to set when your harf way through!! I would pm magmer on here about it! I bet he knows a what the best stuff for doing it is!! As plasticard can cost a bit!!
