Re: hooben t55 golden eye
Hi Alex, I'm following the progress of the Hooben T55 closeley aswell.
Latest info is release via general retail early next year. No definite info about the price
apart from the vague statement that it will be half the price of a 1:16 tamiya kit. ( which one though? )
Cheers
John

Re: hooben t55 golden eye
I posted the original thread on the forum that shall not be named back in september. It was featured in military modelling magazine. The price quoted then for the basic stand alone kit was about £120. The pound has dropped in value since then of course. Other guys have quoted prices for all up kits, dunno where they get thier sources from though.

Pulled from another forum-
"I've been told to expect under $300 for the complete kit including electronics.
As far as I know its still on for early 2009 - the Merkava / Challenger would be later next year. "

Re: hooben t55 golden eye
I'm still in mourning over their decision not to make an Isreali Sho't - Merkava 4 and Chally 2 are nice but I want a Super Centurian, dammit!
Re: hooben t55 golden eye
Hi,
Was it a T55 used in Goldeneye? I'm not very knowledgable on Russian armour conversion for film use, but I thought it was later than that. If I'm wrong, please tell me! Though T55's have been disguised as almost everything, including Tigers before now! Anybody planning on using the chassis to make THAT Tiger ??
(Full of nostalgia - the best WW2 film ever made. Pours myself another whisky and whistles the first 4 bars of "Burning Bridges" over and over again. Now where the h*ll did I put the DVD?)
