Their are several post in Painting and Weathering on the washes and other paintwork. I have recently tried the Tamiya base Flat mixed with Johnsons floor polish as a sealer and a means to tone down the coloring to a nice Matte finish.
Most of my tanks have a factory fresh look, but they were new at one time and representing that is just one level of this hobby. New issue, training tanks,Battle field tanks, battle damaged tanks, their are many ways to model but really to me their is no right or wrong just perspective, and environment.
My First was a Tiger newly issued to Grossdeutschland,it looks new.One week after issue this same tank was in a battle,2 Tigers against 20 Russian T-34,it survived yet with Damage, same tank that within a few days looked totally different.
Your Jagdpanther looks great, and you have so much you can do,But as it is with just a spray of the Flat BASE.floor polish mix might be enough to change the look into a more military tone.
Look forward to see what you do next and how far you take the changes.
