Hi, I have a couple of these and they run real smooth and are very light on there feet if that makes sense. Must get around to doing the mods though. Have fun.regards sub.

those are m47's.....same basic hull as the m26, stronger motor and trans, the turret was redesigned to fix the m26 shot trap under the gun mantel.

Hi odd ball, well my M41A3 has arrived from ebuyer, have to say its great,we have a tiger 1 also, but this has metal tracks and gearbox upgrade at extra money. Now wondering if it was worth the extra money over the standard plastic track and gearbox option as the bulldog is so much Quieter and smoother running than the tiger.I notice the cover over the commanders periscope is missing -mine also,in fact they had put in an extra one of the other type in the accessories box.i notice the price has risen to £55.00 now and also warranty is more expensive.
Just a quick tip,on the tiger 1 the BBs load through to commanders cuppola, not so on the bulldog,
they are loaded through the hatch where the switch is positioned.i found this out by error pouring in the BBs through the commanders cuppolla only to hear them drop through into the bottom of the tank body.
Then a strip down job to empty them out.not difficult but annoyed with myself for not reading the chinglish instwucshons.
overall happy with this tank,i actualy think it is a more detailed and better finished model than the Tiger which i think is let down by the tools that are molded in to the body work, these would have been better as clip on extras as on the bulldog.regards HESH

i sympathise with you about the bb loading hesh,i did exactly the same with my old bulldog, managed to get them out by turning the tank upside down and shaking, you can imagine how long that took grrrrr.

Just a quick up date, the M41 drives a lot better(more controlled, throttle and steering) than my Tiger one, but slightly slower flat out, making it look more realistic.
Do they share the same gear boxes and motors?
I also had a peek inside this afternoon and found that the smoker pipes holding the back end on after all of the screws were removed. they seam to be glued on, can i cut them and use a piece of plastic tubing to connect where i cut the pipes for easy removal of the top deck.
Thanks Jamie

...hiya Mate, re: the pipes, i found it easy to uncouple them from the exhaust tips under the covers, then the pipes just thread thru, 1 screw in each cover :)

As far as I know all the HL have the same gearbox and motor give or take slight variation for the drive shaft length and the motor location (one type has motors at back one above the other, other type motors side by side) Also the metal and plastic are same design.

The variation between tanks is more down to diameter of the drive wheel turning the tracks smaller making it slower.

If you put in 3:1 gearboxes you be surprised how much slower and more driveable it will be, specially if you have one tank still on standard HL gearboxes.
