Took a while to get it working right. The Mato metal bits and Asiatam parts just didn't want to fit together.

Also installed a twin RX18 combo to get rid of the tank track recoil.

Cheers Rob.

It might work too well, in so far you see flash and cannon returning back to the start position. But worth it.

Now need to disconnet the fire button on the controller as that still need does the silly track twitch thing.

Ian.

With these fingers I keep pressing it by mistake instead of the machine gun button. :{

The metal barrel, mantlet, muzzle brake is about £25-£30 I got mine from Forgebear as he had them all in stock. Also bought a HL recoil at same time but thought it was too noisy plus operation is wrong way round etc.

So bought Asiatam recoil (comes with flash unit) and another RX18 from Steve @ Welsh Dragon Models for £37 + £15. The idea of the twin RX18 is split the power and reciever wiring so goes to both then connect motors to one and everything else to the other. So when you fire you get the flash and sound but the motors don't do the silly twitch thing.

The machine gun is simply a small red LED and black heat shrink wired to the other machine gun.

Hope that helps.

Here's some pictures of the install.

Here notice the Asiatam mounting to the turret the orginal holes had it all out of line stopping the recoil functioning. Some drilling to correct this.
