churchill,

If you mean a Taigen over the Heng long or other Tigs, then I for one reckon, for a ready to run, out-of-the-box model and with the amount of 'standard-fit' metal parts, tracks, wheels, hatches, vents, lower hull, 3:1 gearboxes, etc, then, I.M.O, the small difference in purchase price is WELL WORTH IT!! (But hey I might be a little bit biased!!)

Go for it! You know you want to!

I used RC HOBBIES for my 2nd. attempt at buying one! (I originally used an independent agent, of Nitrotek so I found out, for my original purchase) It arrived quickly, but badly damaged, directly from Nitrotek . (DO NOT USE NITROTEK......their returns procedures are at best totally CR*P) After weeks of argy-bargy paypal returned my purchase costs (but not the return postage GRRR!) Sorry about the rant...... :-<

Any way, I`ve had a quick look around various sites and, surprisingly, not many have stock. Ebay for around 165.00 + 10.00 pp seems to be about the norm. sorry

As for inspiration, got loads of that, so feel free. I`ll help whenever I can! Oh, I`m glad you like it to

Thanks for your response taigentanker. I reckon ebay will be the best bet too. I have been tankless for about a year now having previously owned a Walker Bulldog. Cannot wait to get my first Tiger. Will post a few pictures of it in its raw state when I get it and then will have to ask advice on any mods and upgrades as my knowledge is slim to zero, but I am keen to learn.

Speak soon and thanks again.

I have one...after a couple projects I plan on correcting the turret mounting and location...then I can put on the turret protection ring and cut off all those molded on tools. The gear boxes died in a week so I replaced them with some 3:1 units but it alo needs some 400 motors....then a proper paint job....

Nice tanks those made by Taigen..its a shame they didn't do more of a range,2 poss 3 i believe. They sure save you ££ on the upgrades,as they come with most fitted :D

I've bought from RC Hobbies and are 100% happy with cost, quick delivery. Although they don't seem to list it in stock any more. Suppose could try e-mailing them Churchill.

Great looking tank mate, thinking of getting one myself.

I know this is a bit off topic but what run time do you get from one charge?

Thanks all. More pics, when I can get outside! plus poss. a video?

James, I`m running on a 4600AH (ni-mh) battery, with suitable cooling fans etc. This gives me a least a solid 1hr+ run-time (t.b.h i`ve never run it to flat cos the H.I flash starts to get hit-n-miss as the voltage runs down!!)
