That sounds like a good idea. My Tamiya Tiger 1 is on 2.4ghz, will the frequency be different on each RC unit for them, or as you have to mate it with the DMD unit will it be unique to your own tank?

The 2.4 ghz is the best way to go and as it hops between bands evey second you can have a lots of tanks on the field !!! And they would be fine ! Maybe forgebear can do me a good deal if I buy all 10 sets of crystals !

Regarding the HL crystals. Two options.

1) Buy full set off Dave and share cost between HL people on first meeting. Then these become club owned.

2) Find out who's bringing HL tanks and then decide a channel for each person then they purchase and own the crystals.

I think the first is better as then gives anyone chance to battle.

Sounds like a great idea. I will bring my Tiger 1 (Tamiya 2.4 GHz), Panzer 4 ( Crystal 2 ) and KV1 (Crystal 1) but if we buy them they can be changed.

Well guys I think we should go for plan 1 and buy a full set to be kept as club cystals but as the tanks come with band 1 and 2 nearly all the time we should only need to buy 3 to 10 wave bands ! There on eBay for £2.99 a set and free post so total cost would be £24 pounds for what we need ! I don't mind covering the cost for them and they can be kept at the hut what you all think!

I was looking at crystal on Welsh Dragon Models

Note the comment about only 5 of the available 10 channels are allowed for ground RC in the UK.
