There's "Anneleise", one of the two Porsche Tigers on the east front, with Abt 503 in Hungary from Oct. 1944 to ?

The only pictures I have seen are a couple fuzzy b&w in winter.

I made up my HL KT as Anneliese as I thought it might have looked in Oct. 1944.

It should have zim. on it but I commited the unpardonable sin of not putting it on the model 8O

I build mine as "runners" for IR to a to 10 foot scale (look good at 10+ feet ;) ) and no zim looks better than my zim. :{

A suggestion,the Tamiya ZIMMERITE film is still available at Jason's Store on E-BAY. I used it on my Tamiya Henschel Turret version and possibly it may be a solution for the Porsche Version with some creative cutting.

Note,I Primed the tank first,then after painting the contour of the zimmerite was visible.

I have used milliput on my Tiger 1 but the easiest and cheapest way is to use tile cement. Many thanks to Panzer 3 for this idea. It goes on easily is ready mixed, way cheaper than Milliput too and is almost like the real thing. Sticks like s**t to a blanket so plan the area that you don't want it on. Just doing a Porsche turret King Tiger at the moment.

Hi mate , im no expert on Kingtigers but I think the Porsche versions were all zimerited (could be wrong) I use milliput and have coated my Henschel Tamiya Kingtiger . It is a daunting prospect due to the large size of the Kingtiger. As for cammo schemes , I think most would be three colour cammo . The 'spoty' cammo would of been used on later Kingtigers which would be the Henschel turret ones (I think) . I will look forward to seeing your build and the picts. My Kingtigers are on hold .

In the link that poster is broken down to individual tank photos,their are a few that are Porsche turret King Tiger without Zim.

The poster is from a Russian source,but I cannot validate the accuracy. The 50 Porsche Turret King Tigers were debated on this forum last year and the issue of zimmerite was not finalized as fact.this issue could needs resolution.But I cannot say how that is possible but the Bovington Porsche King Tiger seems without Zim?

Hey guys, the Bovington Porsche King Tiger was a soft steel prototype so never saw active service, hence no zimmerit. All the photos of Porsche King Tigers in active service I have in my books show them with zimmerit. I have the Atak resin zimmerit sheets (from Welshdragon) to put on mine, be a while before I get around to it but it looks like it'll do the job nicely.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsN6rY506jc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; This Porsche has no Zimmerite,I do believe it was used in training possibly. But it is an interesting subject to model as the details are clear. More to follow,I know we debated this before,Just can't seem to locate the post?
