Thanks, I am quite pleased, considering that I just bought my first airbrush in Sept. 2010 and have no particular artistic talent

I figure if I can do it, it should inspire others

My problem with the airbrush is the color overlap and the clean line look, also the change from Testors Enamel to Tamiya paints has a learning curve. The Tamiya paints are easier to work with but just as I'm progressing we have this Tamiya paint supply problem at the two local shops.

So Glen you did not use a primer? And the color are the Tamiya XF60 Dark Yellow,XF-61 Dark Green and XF-64 Red Brown?

I used XF-58, XF-60 and XF-64, and no primer, right over the HL camo finish, with no problems, I have done that with 7 HL's.

It gets XF-60 as the base and the other two go over it.

I am no expert but what I find is that I cut the paint with approx. 30% Tamiya thinner.

I use a simple Pasche H single action airbrush. For the XF-58 & 64 oversprays, I fit it with the small No. 1 nozzle and cut the air pressure on the reg down until it sprays a mist, then go at it.

When it is done and cured, I spray it with Rustoleum frosting out of a rattle can for clear coating. http://www.rustoleum.ca/CBGProduct.asp?pid=134" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks for the information,I'LL pick up some of the frosting spray paint,one product easy to find here is the Rustoleum brand.

Yes, I have some pictures of a Stug and some KT field painting pictures, too but that's a different one.

I don't think you'd want your car painted like that, out in the wide, wonderful world with dust, bugs and weed seeds included in the finish. Cuts us amateur airbrushers a bit of slack in the finish perfection department.

Guys,KT'S look great,question.during disassembly did you discover the muzzle brake and barrel are threaded? I was surprised to find this feature. First time on A 1/16 SCALE ASIAN tank I am aware of.Seems like a added bonus and certainly on the KT I'm painting a pleasent surprise.

The HL Stug, Panther and Jagdpanther also have threaded muzzle brakes.
