Here are a few pics of a horseshoe turret I converted from the stock Stuart M5 turret, for Jim Fowler. The last 3 pics show the rotateing commander's vision port. As always comments welcomed...... Harold

Harold, you did such a GREAT job on this! Years ago, I bought a conversion kit to make a horseshoe turret out of the stock one, but it used 0.040" sheet to make up the sides; and I never thought that would be thick enough to be very sturdy. Consequently, it has just sat in the box waiting for me to get back to it. Your turret is an inspiration, and along with the new super-detail book for the Stuart, I really need to re-start mine. Thank you for sharing this with us.
