Merry xmas everyone!

Post by Rocketman »

hi Guys

well after a year off its time to come back into the battle now the creative juices are flowing again. Lots underway but nothing to show right now ( but one MAHUSIVE project on the bench, it fact its hanging over the edges as well!) but looking forward to being back in the hobby and lots of heated discussions again.

Wow the forum has grown, nice to see its gone from strength to strength and its still got that friendly feel, well done to the team on that, not an easy thing to keep.

Have a great xmas and a happy tanky new year

Hah! He gave up tanks for something more expensive like a nephew for me! Theres dedication for you ( id have been happy with socks but hey!)

Plus he seems to have taken the world of Tamiya cars to heart, im sure he is tryingto collect one of everything ever made by them. In fact he is in the middle of a very nice conversion of the Tamiya Hummer to one from Generation Kill so Ill see if I can persuade him to post it up as its Military.

Actaully, has anyone seen this, its the Tamiya Light strike, supposed to be the Mutts!( damn should have put that on the list too! )

it sure is 1/16th any guesses yet?

Sweet that will be the Humber quad tractor then, designed by someone with a fetish for angles! You gotta love donour 1/35 scale kits for templates, you just cant trust plans somehow. I did on the DUKW and to my horror found the arse was too short and the model was 3cm too narrow. The gap you see in the early picture below was after I had cut the whole model down the middle and widened by the required 3cm! Glad to report it looks far more complete now but Ill post more when its further on

And and this is what I did for a year whilst not working on the tanks, drove me up the bloody wall! I hope the Hooben tanks are better than their boats as this was truly truly awful!
