1/16 scale accessories

Post by kraggy »

Can anyone please tell me the best place I can get hold of 1/16 scale fuel / oil drums, fixings and basically any sort of add on accessories for my HL Tiger Tank? I seem to be drawing a blank, or am just not looking properly!? Thanks

As well as Welshdragon and forgebear I also use Tankzone, http://www.tankzone.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, and if you find the UK suppliers are out of stock it's worth giving http://www.rctank.de" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and http://www.jagdpanzer.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; a look, they have plenty of the same accessories (and upgrades).

With the availabilty of items when YOU want them and cost of some stuff I must admit I now cast my own out of resin. I'm in the process of building a DAK panzer III so need at least a dozen jerry cans plus odds and bods. I bought a metal water and petrol jerry can, did moulds and bobs your uncle. I do the same for crates, boxes etc. You can get a basic moulding kit from the web. You just have to work fairly quickly as the stuff can set within a couple of minutes and is isothermic so it gets hot, apart from that you're good to go. The moulds are ready to use in less than 24hrs and the resin is hard within the hour. If a muppet like me can do it, ANYONE can!
