Most of us are in the UK where there are very strict laws with guns and firearms, so I doubt anyone here will be of much help with this I'm afraid. A blank firing device is available from some places, and it might be modified for live rounds, but I don't know where you can get it from.

I know British Arm Law :), i play in ASG. Polish Arm Law is restricly for normal weapon. Strong determies who is gun fire, airsoft and paintball are only sport. We can played every where user giving permission - Goverment Woods is mostly, old factory, sometimes proving grouns. Pyrotechnic is posible when not moving main parts weapon.

Maybe find tips, what bulid shooting model? :(. This will be only show valour, on the time contest this is not neccesary but in free time but show, why not. Yours models have speekers with vocies from realy machnes, why not try schooting? I understand you not using this function without authorised places. Hard Law but Law.

Hi Piotr1974,
The British law on fire arms is stupid and mostly based om 'Knee-jerk' reactions over the years......If criminals want guns they have NEVER been easier to get....but God forbid that a respectable citizen wants or worse still actually has one......

Back to your question, which I think is about mounting a 'Real' projectile FIRED type of gun........I have NO Doubt that the reaction of firing even a fairly low powered 'Bullet' would simply tear the turret off the tank as the 'recoil forces would be enormous'. If a pistol can make your hand and arm move then a 4 Kilogram plastic tank is going to tear itself apart...
IF its legal to posses and to use guns in your country, then I would speak to an expert about dramatically reducing the amount of propellant charge and also the weight of the round fired. So maybe look at getting aluminium or even a strong heat resistant, plastic type of 'Shell' made and then attach it to a very much weakened 9mm round. Test the gun in a plastic mount like the tank and see what happens at a test fire...you are bound to need to massively strengthen the tanks gun mounts and probably the way that the turret attaches to the hull AND the HULL deck as well.
It is going to be A LOT of work.......JUST do NOT test it on people as it still might do some serious damage.
The result might be fun....Illegal in the UK of course as most things are.....CS GAS is a section 1 Firearm ...of it was in my day....but in France I can buy it in the shops.....But with a permit here I can also buy rounds to stop a fully grown boar !!! ....now all I have to do is learn French...Pass the Written Test..save up the money to buy the permit and the Gun etc and I am away :haha: 8O :haha:

Thanks for bringing the subject up Dietrich, I held a full bore firearms certificate for 10years. I had a 1917 Luger in mint condition, a .357 Dan Wesson Magnum, Browning High power 9mm and a Colt .223 AR15 H Bar rifle. My father who started me off shooting, he had 14 legally held firearms and his hobby was making bullets with his Green Machine. We were both members of Aintree pistol club, never shot nor would we ever shoot a person or living creature. As you point out due to a knee jerk legislation all our weapons and loading gear were compulsory purchased by the government and melted down for manhole covers (that presumably have since been stolen and weighted in for scrap again by criminals).

There is more gun crime in the UK now than there has ever been but it suited the politicians to have firearms removed from private ownership. What happened at Dunblane and Hungerford was indeed a tragedy but if I wanted to I could do more damage to the general public by driving my 4x4 (another pariah in the UK) into a crowd of people. Its probably adding to global warming anyway (although I do run it on Bio Diesel).

Thanks, I'm not going to build a killer machine. I think just about restoring the effect of the shot and smoke.

And second case. Men, i like great machines, firearms replica this is hobby. In diferrent countries is diferrent Law, in Poland is heavy get authorization to possess and use firearms, only short and hunting. Can forget automatic or some. Softair and Paintball not are weapons!!. Polish demilitaryzation for example tank is in fact the destruction fo :). I can drive, but cant shoot from normally, only with firecrackers.
