G'day all

Post by gunnie »

G'day folks. Have only recently looked into this aspect of the RC world after watching some guys with their 1/8th scale tanks.
Have a guy locally who is looking to sell a pair of WSN 1/16th units. There's a winter version Tiger 1 and a T-34/85, both of which are shown as IR batte tanks.

I've done a little bit of research so far and it seems there is major scope for upgrading. Can anyone please comment on these as an entry level and just what amount of upgrading can be done with them.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome, to our forum. The WSN Tanks do have a really decent amount of detail, their electronics are another issue. But as with most tanks in this scale upgrading is more a process of planning and a target end version.

First establish what you intend to do,meaning battle other tanks or build for our own collection. This is the key qeustion as not all brands systems will work with one another, second the upgrading issue is more about use as well,a good running tank or a finely detailed tank can be two completely different processes.

You can have both of course,so decide the first issue, battle ready or battle system. If like me you are just building for your own enjoyment, and really like the mechanical aspect then battle systems are not a consideration.

I'm sure members here will help you with any questions and their are many build post ,reference post to help you in this process.

You may want to ask the seller if any upgrades have been made to either tank? And understand WSN/MATORRO/TORRO are different in many ways to the more common Heng Long tanks. This issue will effect the upgrading choices available to you.
