Lost tiger tracks ?

One of the front sprockets on my tiger has come off. Now that I have the right allen key I've been able to put that on. However putting the track back on proving difficult. Its been suggested that I try and push through one of the pins but that darn difficult (resulting in one bent srewdriver already, and the one exactly where it was before I started pushing)

if your bending the pins when you push them through you don't have the track holes aligned or you are pushing the knurled end in first.
If you feel the pin with your fingers one end is kind of rough, that is should be the last little bit that goes into your track. If all the holes are aligned the pin should push quite easily through the holes until you get to the rough part, then use a flat edge to push the pin the last 1/4" or so.
Make sure the track holes are clean as well, it doesn't take much muck to fill them making it harder.
you might want to practice on just the couple spare links you got first.
I would not try to put the pins on while the track is mounted either. After the track is assembled I leave the front sprocket off, hook the track up to the tank then put the sprocket in the proper holes and move it up to the mounting shaft, slide it on then put the screws in holding it on.

I tend to leave the track in one piece.

What I normally do is make sure the track is on the drive wheel/sprocket, then pull the track over the wheels towards the idle wheel at the back, then pull the track (so turns the drive wheel) and over the idle wheel the turning motion and pulling helps the guide horns get over it. Don't try doing it all in one pull, I normally do one to get first set of guide horns over then another pull to complete.

No its not the piuns being bent, it was the screwdriver( ok it was a tiny electronics screwdriver, but I've never seen a scredriver bent to 90 degrees beforer ) As for the pins bine wont push out / When you look at the tracl the iins as still just pround on one side and just below the hole the other. I tried pushing out on the non pround side will not move.

This with a litlle trial and error is similar to what I ended doing. Had the tank running for a while until a new problem raised its head, post to follow. Thank you everyone who replied.

I use that 1mm cheapO screw drive and a small hammer to start to push the pin out. But if all the pins are that stuck (i guess were talking metal tracks) then pull some of the road wheels off. Then apply some heat with, a mini blowtorch or a soldering iron. That should help you extract the pin.

which side are you pushing from?
if your pushing the pins from the outside then it wont work you need to push from the inboard side

the pins have a knarled end that stops them working free
