No, it does not have the momentum function.Dietrich wrote:Hi Glen B,![]()
Please can I ask does the SLU system have a 'Momentum Function' so that the tank Automatically takes time to accelerate and time to slow down or is the control down to the operator and his ability to control the tank ?

However, the low speed control is the best we have seen at our tank club.
One person is actually replacing their Tamiya system with an SLU because of this.
With the SLU and 3:1 gearboxes, my Tiger I can perform a very slow turn in place without any unwanted rapid movements like the stock HL system has.
Even with the standard HL gearboxes and motors, I have seen that the SLU offers a very large improvement with control.
I like these well enough that I have one in the Tiger I, one that is going into a HL King Tiger (Abt. 503, Hungary Oct. 1944) and a third waiting to be installed in an another HL Tiger I that I will be refinishing.
Next project after those, likely an HL Panther G with another SLU.
