PzIV Reference Site

Post by Mackem »

There are some versions of the PzIV on here I've never seen or heard of:- http://henk.fox3000.com/pz4.htm
Looks like Mr. HL is going to be selling a few more PzIV's.  ;) ;D ;D ;D

Cheers
John

JOHN what are you doing to me ?. That proposed Panzer IV has been lurking in the back of my mind for the last 3 months. NOW you show me It can be done. As the Panzer IV is already in bits and I happen to have a KT upper hull and Turret down the shed I think I may start to do a bit of a mock up and see where it takes me. In all honesty a GREAT find John and thanks. I was tempted to do my own thing with the Panzer IV now I am almost sure it will be converted to this fictional variant. All the very best for now

What a brilliant site, makes you appreciate how versatile the IV chassis was. Some great variants there, although I could never understand the grasshopper version where the turret could be taken off and dropped as a pillbox. I have a panzer IV for christmas but I could do with another six or seven now, thanks a bunch!!

Half price on ebay. keep telling the Wife that and also point out the fact that modifying/converting one ( or more ) of these will keep you out of the pub and from under her feet for months. Should get at least a consideration factor from the Wife  ( maybe )  ;D

Well Guy's went and done it. Started to cut up the Panzer IV to convert it to the prototype on the Henk site :o. Chopped up a King Tiger upper hull and will cut the cupola out tomorrow. Here are a couple oF pictures to start you off. Will post more in the HL build section as I go along. Any coments welcome as scratch building is not normally my thing. All the best for now

Cheers John I will keep that in mind. First job, fab it all up and see what it looks like. Get it all assembled and running then the details. Tempted to use the KT rear fans on this baby just to make it look it bit diffrent. Thanks for the positive comment. You also have a hand in this build as you found the site and crystalised some vague ideas that were floating round my head. All the best for now mate
