Crew Figures, Cloth Helmet Covers.

Post by seafire »

If you like to put crew figures in or on your vehicles I found an easy way to represent cloth helmet covers.
Paint the helmet in a base colour then after about an hour paint it again with liquid polystyrene cement. you can be quite generous with it. After a little whilt the paint lifts and wrinkles. Leave it to go off and then when you paint the camouflage colours over this it looks surprisinglly realistic.

I will give it a go when I get back into my modelling den. (The old gits shed  ).
