Hi mcevoyi
If you are exhibiting you will love it there, (post some pic’s), but you may not have enough time to have a really good look round everything. If you do the Aircraft carrier experience take a coat it gets cold when you come up on the aircraft elevator to the flight deck.
Personally I’ve not attended the October show mainly because in the past they promoted it as the autumn toy show.
That has changed to the Radio Controlled Autumn Model Show.
I think it is well worth a visit.
The inside models are displayed with and between the museum exhibits. Outside are model aircraft demonstrating their skills.
They host two model shows a year. Feb and Oct. Both are only one day events. Held on a Saturday, bit pricy if you are a paying visitor, but it is for the museum entry with the show thrown in.
To-day I received my invitation to exhibit at the 11th February 2012 show.
Due to health problems I have not done so for the last four years. But it’s nice to still be asked! Who knows perhaps things will change and I will get there once again.

We do not stop playing because we grow old.

I'll put it in the diary, my parents live near there. My dad applied for the job of head restorer there (if thats what they'd call it as a job title) and only just lost out. He was a dab hand at full size aircraft. His mate had a Spit in his garage and before that a P51. I'll see if he's up for the show, I may get in for nothing like usual.

Damn and blast, I'm off on my Honeymoon on the 22nd. The wife has just informed me. I'll make up for it by visiting the German war stuff on Guernsey.
