hi everyone just joined here,and also just got me first rc tank a taigen panzer iv ,but only works about 8 foot from rc then loses connection also ive only had it a couple of weeks and noticed the mg led doesnt always work, and when it fires bbs its stopped recoiling arghhh,it worked ok when i first had it except rc distance was always short any ideas sry for such a long thread but i now nowt about rc thanks in advance

Welcome Tim, the recoil your refer to is this the tank recoil? As you fire the tank jerks back? If so this is triggered from a limit switch connected to the gun.

Sounds like you have some internal wiring issues, we can help but the tank will need to be partially disassembled. The wiring schematic section has an older schematic of the RX18. Using this as a guide you can check the firing circuit and determine the limit switch wires as they will be absent from the older schematic.

The distance could be the transmitter,but most likely it is the internal receiver connection to the antennae. Do you loose all functions or just driving control?

thanks have found the wire which was loose, was a red one just under turret so recoil works now, have messed with Ariel internal wire it now goes a bit further, but still only bout 10 feet and not very smooth last few feet then stops all together,will keep messing and see what happens thanks for reply,btw bought my tank off ebay new cost me £110 with posting was that expensive?

Sorted it just moved cable from under circuit board works fine now very bizarre
