Thanks everyone for the kind and helpful advice. All points duly taken and I've already slung that cheap (and noisy) bundled charger and dug out the smart charger.

I used the excuse of adding the decals and detail accessories to fire it and and all seem well but I'm going to have to give that commander figure the once over before the big day. That bloody smoke unit is noisy isn't it!

I don't know who's more excited. ;)

Thanks again!

Now you have to get yourself one so he'll have someone to battle against.

Glad you got a safe charger. Smoker smells bad too. I removed mine.

i than yer kid will get to ! hope all goes well with it for you and yer son :thumhave the same problem with the charger good job you got a safer one, 2 hours and i cant touch my charger, it sparks and everything ! and the smoke generators are typical for burning out in them better to just turn it off, depending on what smoke oil you have in it as well its not good for using indoors.. i wish i got my tank that young but i had to waight till 19 boohooo if your anything like my father you'l play with the tank more than yer kid will get to ! hope all goes well with it for you and yer son  Stevie
its ok if you argue with yourself... you'l always seem to win the argument ?
