help with heng long

I have a new smoke and sound panther from heng long for which i need a bit of advice. Should I take it outside to run. It has nylon tracks or should I upgrade first. To upgrade does it already have ametal gearbox? Not sure I've read differing accounts on lne?

• Plastic tracks will mean plastic gears i'm afraid , People tend to like metal tracks for their 'realism' - plus the weight helps with grip , but they do strain the plastic gears - so metal ones are usually fitted at the same time.
