heng long infrared help

i have a heng long panther and it says on the box that it has infra red battle system - its also smoke and sound. however looking in the commander hatch the holes for the infra red reciver are there but no socket to receive the receiver as it were. is this correct or a mistake. unfortunately bought this tank last xmas and only just noticed - have no receipt.

That has happened to me as well, with one of the HLs I bought recently. It was in the right box, boasted all the new features, but when I cracked it open it was not only missing the smoke gen, but also the whole IR setup and control boards.

Possibly an old tank slipped into a newer box?

In you case, if you cannot get it exchanged, then the innards for a HL IR setup are not all that pricey and there are threads herein which will help in installing.

thank you......i've contacted the shop fingers crossed. its still less than 12 months ols so i should be ok. if not though any help will be appreciated in upgrding to the ir system

puled body off and no infrared baatle system fitted although relevant board and other features. my smoke has packed up already. Anyway still waiting for model shop to get back. if no joy where is the best place to get spares?

There are two S&S versions of the Panther G BB shooter or infra red with battle system and gun recoil they ship them in the same box if you look there should be a box ticked to the version you have hope this helps.

thanks all - I've got to the bottom of it - I have the shooter version rather than the infrared - i looked at the bottom of the box.

Thinking of buying a KV1 - best places? Any ideas
