Tamiya Pershing Recoil Issues. ( Anyone know a fix?)

Hello:

I am building a Sherman Firefly with recoil. I untilized the Pershing Recoil Motor, however the issue is that the return to battery is far too slow. I also wanted to shorten the recoil.
If anyone has any practcal ideas I would be grateful.
