transmitter trouble

Post by afv »

Howdoo,
i thought i would just use one transmitter to run two tanks ( not at the same time ) anyway it sends one tank left when it should be right and the other tank right when it should be left, when i use the tanks with their own transmitters all is ok any ideas please
regards Jack.

What Tx's are you using, they are probably set up differently, do they have "reverse servo" function ??? If so it may be simpler to just do that than setting up the tanks again.
Hey man....I just ride 'em, I dunno what makes 'em work.

If it's an RX18 board and you swap the plugs round it all goes wrong way backward is forward etc.

It should work as I have one controller for two tanks. And both tanks are different i.e. Tiger with front gearbox and KV1 with rear gearbox. (As one works in reverse compared to the other) so don't think it is the motor wiring.

Daft question. You have two tanks and two controllers, but have you tried both controllers on both tanks?

Hi Tankbear, yes each transmitter will work it's own tank ok but try to work the other tank and the control is opposite( crystals are the same 03)

Afv, I'm out of suggestions. :'(

Like I said I have one controller controlling two different tanks so it should work. I've even swapped the RX18 between tanks problem solving and haven't had steering problems you mention.

Only last stabb in the dark idea I can think of is at some point the wires on the motors got soldered on wrong and therefore the plugs into the RX18 are switched to rectify the problem (untill you try a different controller).

Hopefully somebody else can shed some light on it.

Hi, I have just joined recently and have a leopard m26, last week came across a tiger for very little money with a 'goosed' tx. Anyway I managed to fix the tx and discovered that the crystal was the same number as the leo, managed to work both tanks from the single tx no probs' Now I'm no electrical wizard but would have thought that if you swap the motor plugs on the rx it should cure the problem as would swapping the red wire for the black wire should reverse the motor direction. Unless I have missed something this ought to cure it but if not then somebody pipe up......Glyn
