Factory Panther tracks - what color

What color was the Panther tracks when they left factory? Flat Black or ??

The Link is A EXCELLENT source. Last night I was researching the Jagdpanther I built and the same issue of track color. Seems they rolled out a rather dark Gray almost black. Also the storage of the Tracks for shipment were this color and they were covered in a protective oil like weapons were shipped in.
