Hello
Hope someone can help. I found myself with a Spektrum DX6i and several 2.4Ghz receivers available for my Tamiya tanks. So I tried to migrate my King Tiger from it's trusty old Futaba Skysport. Beyond getting the receiver bound to the Tx I get nothing - no response to control inputs - flashing lights in the DMD units but not much else. PLEASE can someone give me a step by step guide as to how to get the job done?
Many thanks
Ian

Re: Migration to Spektrum DX6i
Hey Guys,
Do none of the Tamiya Tankers use this system or have any advice? I only use the standard Heng Long, but surely somebody else must have at least a bit of an idea, if they use a 'Non Heng Long' system.

Re: Migration to Spektrum DX6i
I will try and help you..am use to setting the Dx7 up for planes and helis ( i know you are setting up a Dx 6 but there is not that much of a difference between the 2 sets )..and i know that there is quite a difference on how Futaba and Spektrum talk ..
So what i would to is this..set your Tx to Acro 1st..not heli..
Then before you turn power on to your Tx hold down scroll and select and get into the 1st menu..
put throttle recovery to active this will centre your trims back up with one push .
then input select ..flap system..flap trim set to active..next..wing type..Flaperon on..
What this will do is make your aileron and aux 1 channel's now sit at the 50-50 point as to how you will want it to..as you will now connect your 2 motors to these channels..
As for the rest plug up and see how you get on..you will need to do some mixing as well i would have thought..
Hope this helps you get it rolling ..

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. Here it goes, if you haven't already figured it out.
I assume your Tiger has an MFU. Start a new model profile, and make the following changes. Have your Aileron/Rudder/Elevator dual rate switches active. You do this by changing 0 position to be 66% and 1 position to be 100%. After that is done, have all your switches set in 0 position for the next step.
Make sure all your MFU lights are flashing in standby mode, and all the four servo plugs installed. Run through your standard Tamiya MFU setup process. Now, you're done.
During use, when your dual rate switches are set to 0, you get all your normal basic functions of throttle, steering, gun traverse and elevation. When you set your gun elevation dual rate to 1, pushing the corresponding switch will give you the desired machine or main gun firing.
