Hello all. Well I've just started on my frist HL, I got the Jagdpanther IR. I have replaced the sprockets with metal ones ok.
Coming on to replacing the idlers. A few questions,
How do you get the plastic ones off.
How do you fix the metal ones on.
It sames that you don't get any instructions with any mod parts. And if you do, they are in German.
Sorry to ask such simple questions, but this is all new to me.
Many thanks

Re: Metal Idler Replacement
The plastic ones are held on by a phillips (cross tip) screw. Depending which rear idler you have it is either a screw or if they are the asiatam ones you need to drill to fit the bigger supplied screw/bolt..
Per the RCTank.de web site;
"Attention, to mount the idler wheels, you must drill the opening with a 4er drill The original openening ist to small."

Re: Metal Idler Replacement
Many thanks JayBrd.
Did not have a cross head that fitted the hole in idler. Had to use very small flat head.
But all done now.

Re: Metal Idler Replacement
Hello
I have put the idlers on. I drilled a 4mm hole into the hull and bolted the idler using a nut on the inside of the hull.
It works, but will replace with a set of tension adjustors soon.
