Hiya Gary , AKA The tank man bloke
Most folks start off with the HL Tiger 1 , beware though , it needs work to make it 'decent' - it's also the one with more aftermarket upgrades than you can shake a stick at
and will empty your pockets in no time . Great if you like to fiddle , otherwise one of the other tanks is probably a better choice to begin with , there are plenty to choose from . ( used ones often turn up on fleabay , already tweaked , for reasonable money too )

to the bouncy room ! Yay !

Hi Gary,
Welcome to the forum
I'm a dedicated Tamiya man myself, but it seems the Heng Long's are a good starter and have lots of upgrade options.

Re: New member thanks everyone!
Well thanks everyone for the welcomes and advice! I think I'm going to go for the heng long tiger pro as this has the new rx18 board and metal gears and tracks will order some metal wheels and other bits I think forged bear has dome wheels in stock!! Oh yes o do like a good tinker! Got some ideas on mods on mind!! Will fefo be getting a second rx18 to stop the tank recouping back on it's tracks!! I mean as if a real tank would do that if the turret was turned to the side!!!

Hello The Tank Man ,
Welcome to the Forum
If you do not like the 'Track-Recoil' on the RX-18 ( Who Does ?) you can buy a small add on device that will stop this annoying feature from happening...This company sells them for 17.95 Euros
http://www.rctank.de/product_info.php?c ... ts_id=1013" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I am sure that a UK based company must sell them too.....if you are good at electronics, perhaps you can find a cheaper and easier way to block the feature on the tanks., and then tell us how to do it
There is a search box in the Top Right hand corner of the main banner or if you have any questions then feel free to post them and I am sure that someone will come along who will be able to give you an answer.
