Help with T08 and MF06

Post by subdvr »

Im experiencing a strange issue with the above., or perhaps its my controller?

I have a Planet t5 controller and receiver, all plugged up to the above.

I cannot get my tank to move forwards.
Right stick gives left and right no problem, pushing forward or backwards on this stick does nothing, no sound anything, no movement.
Left stick: Push forward or back operates elevation
Left stick: push left/right operates turret rotation
Left stick: push forward with trim up gives Main Gun shoot
Left stick: push down with trim down gives machine gun

Tried all sorts to get the tank moving forward or back, cannot get it going?

Any ideas gents?

Hi subdvr,
It my be the same configuration as the MF 03 where you need to move the throttle trimmer fully backwards then flick the throttle stick backwards quickly, to engage the gears.
Hope that helps

Hi Trev
The two MF units are the same as the M26 units! on the right stick you can rev the engine then i move the right trim to the top rev again then move the trim back to the center this puts the tank in gear and it should move forward!! hope this helps  . I had the same when i fitted them to the T55 >:< it just did not work but i had a go the same as the M26 and it took of across the table ....Brian...

Thanks Sparks, Brizo

Still no joy, I dont even get sound (engine revving) pushing the right stick forward, its almost as if the there is no signal from the right stick in the up/down range, it works fine on right/left.

I can get the tank to move forward by pushing the stick forward and slightly right, but its slow and obviously trying to go right.

No idea whats wrong, hope its not the DMD, thats not a cheap fix!

Goodness, this is a head scratcher!
Does your radio have different configs', ie. heli, plane or glider? Is it mode 1 or 2? Finally what stick do you want to control what? Oh and not quite so finally, what switching parameters do all the toggles control?

Hi Jackeb

The controller can move to modes 1 or 2, its in mode 1 right now, and I have tried it in mode 2, no joy either.
For the switching, see the first post, but the handbook does show heli and plane and give instructions for both in modes 1 and 2.
I know a few others have posted about the planet t5 controller, and I have posted in other sevctions, hopefully find an answer.

Hi,
I don't know if you've had any success but I got my Elmod up and running, albeit with my spektrumised JRX-3810 with a 6 channel Orange receiver. I'm running mode 2 and in plane mode I connected the channels up as follows:

Red & black to battery input.
Brown (throttle) channel 1.
Green (turret rotate) channel 2.
Yellow (gun elevate/fire) channel 3.
Orange (steering) channel 4.
Blue (lights/start) channel 5.

I don't use sound so I haven't connected the violet lead. The only peculiarity is, because my channel 5 (gear) only has a two way switch I have to double flick the switch to turn the lights on and off, but I can live with that. So a little bit of fiddling with the channel reversing and all works perfectly.
I don't know if this is of any help, hopefully you're up and running already, but it might be of some help.
Laters.
