This is an old post from an ex-member of the Forum. The photographs of the conversion itself were removed by the member but I have located them in an old file and so here is the Conversion WITH Photographs........

Here is a short item about a conversion I did to my Heng Long Tiger TX
I moved the throttle from the right stick to the left stick, so that you can control the Heng Long tank like a Tamiya tank, if you have set the tamiya up as per instructions (throttle and turret rotation on the left stick, Steering and main gun elevation on the right stick)
there is no soldering involved because the wires are connected to the main board using three pin and five pin connectors and it involves swapping over the throttle pot and elevation/and firing wiper board and swapping two wires in their respective connectors First remove the Ariel and the four retaining screws in the back of the TX then remove the 8 screws holding the gimbles in place remove both the right and left gimbles that control the horzontal movement of the sticks, these are the two verticle ones in the back of the TX, they are identicle so it does not matter which one goes back in the left and right sides gimbles removed From this point on left and right will be from the back view of the TX
remove the throttle pot from the left hand side
swap the black and red wires over by carefully using a scapel or pin to press the tag down so that the pins can be removed from the plug by gentley pulling on the wires as you press on the tag
BEFORE WIRE SWAP AFTER WIRE SWAP remove both the turret and elevation/fire wiper boards from the unit
you are only interested in the one from the verticle plane, with the black and red wires on it, on the left of the picture
now swap the red and black wires over using a pin or scapel to press on the tags whilst pulling on the wires gentley to remove the pins from the conector
BEFORE AFTER re-assemble the throttle pot on to the right side gimble (looking at the back of the TX) and the wiper boad to the left hand gimble then re-assemble the turret rotation wiper board and Steering pot to their original positions on their respective gimbles replace all of the screws to hold every thing in place
everything re-assembled BEFORE SWAP AFTER SWAP re-asemble the back cover and ariel to the tx and screw the cover down
board connectors, the right hand one is the throttle do not unplug the left one as it is the steering pot connector (nothing is beng done to the steering pot or it's connector), the five pin connector is for the turret rotation/gun elavation and cannon fire, this photo is taken AFTER the wires have been swapped here is a picture of one of the pins showing the tag that has to be depressed to remove the pin from the plug
