no sound

Post by panzerfahrer »

Just about ready to stamp on my Tiger 1, iv checked everything and still have no sound, all I get is a very faint machine gun, well, more of a faint clicking noise, in fact it is probably the speaker picking up some static from the lights flickering when i press the machine gun button. The volume control has been tried in every position, the three volume wires have continuity, the speaker wires have continuity, I think the sound cards have gone or something like that, anyone got any ideas, its an RX13 board if that helps. Everything else works fine, start up and stop works ok but I cant hear it, I watch for continuous head lights, I have resorted to using words like @##@**% and %&**%@&&%###

Have you tried the speaker? I think if you connect it (obviously disconnect from tank electronics) to a 1.5v battery it should make a noise.

I tried the speaker on a transistor radio, it works fine.

the rest of it wouldn't work if it wasn't, no, I`m convinced I have done something to the sound cards, and will have to get a new board.

problem solved, Dave "FORGEBEAR" sent me 3 used RX13 boards to try, he had`nt tested them and didn't know if they worked, but sent them with his complements, the first one had the same problem, no sound, the second one I tried works, so my Tigers back out on the field,Thanks to FORGEBEAR.
