Panther Skirts

Post by erc1 »

I am thinking of adding skirts to my Panther G. Any suggestions on aftermarket or scratchbuilding techniques? I could probably plastic card for the skirt but an unsure how to attach them to the hull. Help is appreciated.

there is an aftermarket set skirts and hooks that is cheaper than profline about £45 from welsh dragon models made in Germany forgot the make about £25,each skirt has 2 rectangle holes along the top edge, the holes are spaced different on first and last skirt, each skirt hangs on 2 hooks that are fixed on that rail that runs from the front mudguard along side, the skirts overlap with the rearmost going on first each skirt shares a hook with the next skirt that overlaps,I will scan some pics of the hooks/skirts in a weeks time, unless someone beats me to it!

I've recently got a Panther, I was thinking of just using plasticard comes in A4 sheets of various thicknesses. I made my own track hangers from a thin aluminium sheet, probably make similar ones for schurzen hangers.
(Plasticard is less than a £1 a sheet)

Easter soon, use this idea http://www.rctankwarfare.co.uk/forums/v ... =38&t=7391" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; If you get the diagrams you can make them easy enough, plus you can shape them to look damaged.
Cheers, Dave

I bought a 'photo etched' set for the Panther G. They were ok, but upon reflection not really worth the money. In future I'll be spending a couple of quid on some black plasticard and making my own.

Chef.
