Creepingdeathrc...
From what I've been reading these guys created some fantastic revolutionary stuff...but I can't seem to find anything current. Where'd they go?
Re: Creepingdeathrc...
Hi There was a post on RCU not long ago,I think they have gone bust.

Re: Creepingdeathrc...
That's to bad I was hoping to get a turret and sound board from them, looked sweet from what I saw on youtube!
Re: Creepingdeathrc...
The gun was a stock VS Airsoft gun,it had a limit switch that triggered a servo recoil. If you want one I have all the parts but it never worked correctly. Their is a new airsoft gun available which is for the H/L Tanks that with the new RX18 gicves you the tank recoil motion as it fires. That is one step, the barrel recoil is not difficult to make then you would have both.If you want more powerful gun contact Thomas J Murphey (TJM) on RCU.
He builds a powerful airsoft gun and has a good history of quality. As for C/D I have nothing to comment about their products past present or unlikely future. Where do you live? UK,USA,or somewhere else? Their are certain restrictions in some countries and I think he may not ship to certain places?

Re: Creepingdeathrc...
I did see that unit on ebay, but I don't know about the recoil it's taking about, ie barrel or whole tank. My Tiger right now has the "whole tank" recoil which I don't really care for. What I'd Like to get going is a bb Cannon with a barel recoil..if thats even possible.
I'll wait an see what you think of the gun on ebay. Fingers crossed it's a thumbs up

Re: Creepingdeathrc...
It is possible as my tanks are designed for that purpose,as for the new unit. It's designed to time the tank jump recoil with firing, but that same limit switch on the new unit could trigger a servo which could move the plastic outer barrel back as the airsoft gun fires, recoil even on Tamiya tanks is 30mm at best,so a servo pulling 180 deg on an arm could get 30mm barrel recoil.
The actual airsoft metal barrel does not move, but being shorter than the plastic outer barrel it gives you enough length to work. Their is another gun being developed that uses CO2 and recoil and is an auto loader but I can not discuss that design,it's not mine and the person who has developed this will post when he is ready.

Re: Creepingdeathrc...
Hey Sax... keep me posted on the CO2 gun. I still have the CD turrets sitting in their boxes. I finally got around to pulling the original CD turret off of my Tiger, and putting it on the Tiger Asiatam hull. The CD gas gun system wouldn't fit in the Asiatam hull because the suspension system raises the floor and it wouldn't close without pinching the gas tubes. Once I get the Zimmerit on the Tiger turret and a base coat of paint on it I'll start tinkering with the CD gas guns. I just wanted to have one Tiger operational. My King Tiger is also still idle since the rear idlers broke off and it's still in need of the adjusters installed to get it back going, so I haven't tried messed with it either. The CD review on RCU was kind of disappointing and kind of bust my bubble a bit and drained the enthusiasm from me about getting them up and running, and when they shut down their web site I lost all hope. Maybe I'll get lucky... who knows.
Glad to see the site is still up and running ~ I hope all is well with you and glad to see you are still involved

Hi Ern, Curious remember this fellow http://www.rcuniverse.com/community/pro ... mid=289734" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; he had purchased 16 gun systems from C/D? Have you heard any feed back form his group?
Would be interested to see the gun system as delivered, and it working as well?
Thanks for the kind words, this forum has grown at a steady pace. And Ern your involvement would be welcomed. Many new boards here and our information data base is growing, especially as new members join and bring their experiences and knowledge to the forum. I am glad to see you are still involved as well and hope to see you become an active member also. Kind Regards,Blake

Re: Creepingdeathrc...
Thanks Blake... it has been awhile. I keep up on RCU, but haven't been around here [thanks to whoever sent the "We miss you" email!]. From what I remember, there were some problems and I couldn't access the site, or it moved or something. But, I'll be around, and now that the weather has got better will be back working on my projects as time allows and my daughter moves the boxes of her stuff that has had my workbench in the garage blocked for WAY to long.
I've also often wondered what happened to the guy that posted that his club ordered 16 turrets... probably someone from CD posting trying to boost sales. Every time I look at the boxes I wonder if I have two of the only three systems they ever built. I've gotta get the idler adjusters installed in the KT before I start on the turret because I don't want to be taking the turret off or working on it unnecessarily after installing it. I also have to get some of the electronic board water proofer from what it looks like on the RCU evaluation because of the condensation problem. Send me a PM or email on how your project is going. You know how I like blasting holes into things!
I did email that guy once, and he replied, but haven't heard anything since. Maybe I should follow up and see how he is doing. From what I remember be was in northern Illinois and a bit to far to try to meet up with him/them
