HACKING WARNING !!

Hi Guys,
Just to let you know that the RC Tank Regiment site was hacked into this weekend.

A lot of posts from Feb onwards appear to have been lost.

Sadly this serves as a reminder that we are all open to these forms of pointless cyber attacks.....

What I would urge you all to do is back up your detailed build posts and important contacts /info onto your home hard drive / usb stick etc in case we are unfortunate to suffer the same situation here.

If things do go belly up then at least we could recover more quickly - and without loss of infomation- whilst cutting the admin team a bit of slack at the same time.

A bit of preperation now might save us a lot of cursing later.............

I doubt anything like that would happen to us, I'm pretty tight with security on the server(so much so that even Matt doesn't have access ), but if it ever were to happen we are prepared. We make backups daily and store these on a completely separate server.

I just like the belt and braces approach ....for my ownpeice of mind !!

Ah when I tried to log on it says there are no boards and that my user name is invalid-take it the whole site is down then?
