Re: My Panther
yep!they are right!took another look, they look good, can't wait to get my heng long Panther,I enjoy super detailing, and I know Panthers well,so I will know what to do when I've got one,I'd like to make it a good runner,so metal tracks and sprockets to start, and maybe electric mods and better smoke unit, gearboxes later, and nice metal gun barrel seems a must, tho there is a cheaper (about£25)skirt set I might go for,I'll try to do the rest of the detail homemade, spare track brackets, pins and chains tool clamps, and all,I want to do mine with camo loops on turret, and diagonal stripe 3 colour camo,Küstrin 45,my 1/35 dragon late G is getting this, does anyone do 1/16 hoods for exhausts, and large late idler

Re: My Panther
thats good, thats where I saw the cheaper skirts, dont know if the hooks are as good as yours tho.
Re: My Panther
The schurtzen came from welshdragon too....only grief I have is how they attach to the tank, they are just glued on...if they had a little pointy bit to go through the tanks side, it would be a brillant kit....thats the only down side
There are so many mods still to do...
Ride height
Bolts for the panel that holds the driver and radio operators hatches
stops for the mantlet, its a small mod this one!
commanders visor glass
commanders cupola to be scored around the base so it appears more like it is bolted on
close defence weapon
barrel-which involves the mantlet being !"£k£!
Thats just off the top of my head!
Nic

Re: My Panther
will a bit of weight sort out the ride height, maybe some pics of Panthers riding low show fully laden with knackered torsion bars, according to Guderian a major weakness, and that drivers should avoid speed on bumpy ground, some factory fresh pics I have, got ride height like yours
Re: My Panther
Its the other way around....I would like to lift it a few mm.....

Re: My Panther
I think I've seen stronger springs somwhere for HL Panther, skirt prob, the real thing as you know overlapped with rear section, placed on first, there was a n shaped plate that wedged between hook and skirt to hold it,I'll explain with drawing when you get back,
