Ive been wondering the same thing,
I deal in parts as do'es Dave (Forgebear) and I've never heard of them or heard dave mention them (he's always hot on mentioning new parts that have or are comming out)
& this is the only time i have seen anyone say they have stainless steel gears, but who know's ?
they could be annodised black ?

Re: what do you make of these
Powder Coated maybe? But why not say so? Never have I seen stainless steel in any color but flat silver. Also his banner says new King Tiger, but if you click on that it become King Tiger metal upgrade tracks.
Re: what do you make of these
Didn't a company in Canada carry replacement HL gearboxes with CNC cut steel gears. If I have it correct they went out of business and caused a bit of fuss on the RCU site. From what I remember those gearboxes looked the same with blackened gear wheels.

Re: what do you make of these
yes i think they are and i will be able to say for sure when they hit the door mat thanks dave
Re: what do you make of these
I know Mato has had them for some time now. I didn't think there was much demand for them since most people who don't want the softer metal gears tend to go for the 3:1's/4:1's.
I can't say if its the same ones that used to be available but it is a good bet it is.

It is never just "one" tank!
