Re: Gun Rights in the UK
I wasnt going to comment on this 'cos my opinion is in the middle but you got me thinking. Im a bit of a gun enthusiast with all the military interest too and have a couple of airsoft replicas. Where I grew up I think there was one burglery in 23 years so I hadnt really witnessed crime until I moved to Portsmouth for Uni and had my car wrecked a few times by 'chavs'. The cops did nothing despite the evidence because its not a 'serious crime'/issue and they would rather focus on the gun and knife crime in the area. Fair enough, Iv read plenty about weapon crime and if the crims are already able to obtain weapons despite the ban, its hardly going to change much if the rest of us responsible adults can legally as well. However having said this, would it be similar to current driving liscence? They both can be leathal if used inproperly. We are only tested once and are good for life if we pass, but there are plenty of idiot morons on the road who would fail a driving test miserably if they took one again. If this was a gun liscence holder I would hate to see them handling a weapon. Perhaps if the test invloved IQ, I dont know but Im not sure if it would work. I think the driving test needs to be updated/retested every 10-20 years to keep people fresh so perhaps same for a gun liscence? Im not sure where I am going now with this

There is always a fifth Sherman
