Thats pretty much why I started with RC tanks, you can run them almost anywhere and anytime,
Planes and large helecopters need clubs and regulated flying space.
Hey man....I just ride 'em, I dunno what makes 'em work.
Woof woof woof !
I love tanks. Especially watching them driving over any terrain. The rougher the better. I think it must be watching all the moving parts, tracks wheels and suspension etc.
They can go almost anywhere any time.
Love it!!

If you are not living on the edge, then you are taking up too much room.
As long as i can remember i always wanted to drive one but never had the inclination to join the Army to do so. Finally had a go when my partner at the time bought me a days driving for my fortieth birthday. Abbot spg & a chieftan mbt. Then some biker friends near Southport ran a Sherman for a time so managed to blag a go in it. I built loads of static models when i was young but left it be for most of my adult life as i was too busy with motorcycles. Fortunatly as i am now in my fifties i have the disposable income to once again indulge myself in this fascinating hobby & the fact that they are Big! Its getting them to look as real as possible, the engineering & driving them that floats my boat. Just cant afford a real one, yet!
Many many ship models,at the end of the day their is only so much you can do with ships. Planes had one for about 5minutes,then I had a pile of parts. Tanks are fun,you can spent hours driving into all kinds of situations and never leave your back yard. I really envy the Texas Group and their most excellent battlefield.
That would be really fun,and a gun that fires accurately and a ammo that makes a mess of the paintwork. This is the goal I have set,and only a tank can meet all these situations, and functions. Fun Fun Fun, also I have a nice Lamborghini, Countach from Tamiya, really nice car, great paintwork smooth details and fast. But I am afraid to race it and scratch the paint, my Tiger loves ruff playing,My Jagdpanther the same and the King Tiger I am building to be the beast,I mean to run this tank through it all dragging a KV,t34 and Sherman behind me.
As has been said above, have rc Planes, ships, subs and cars
but they all need dedicated space and sometimes weather,
rc tanks pretty much anywhere anytime, and they come the
closest to reality in speed and look!
I like the look of tanks. Call me a bit weird but I think a Tiger 1 has a sort of menacing beauty about it. Just lookingb at my new P4 right now and thinking how great it will look when all painted and detailed.
Hi
Yep done the same always been into R.C cars/aero/helecopters/off road :~ . But always come back to my tanks wife don"t like em much to dull .... Brian
I just love the way the tracks and wheels move, also something about the power and presence they hold over any area. I really like WW2 era designs and engineering and for me that was the peak of tank design.
