Jasons store ....Japan post Tsunami..

Post by majordisastor »

Hi Guys,

With all the Earthquake, Tsunami and Nuclear events over in Japan I contacted Jason to see how he was getting on.

Fortunatly both he and his family are Ok at the moment as He says Saitamais not in a badly affected area.

As a frequent customer of his E-bay store - I know others here are the same - I was rather concerned how he was.

Plastic tank prts are one thing - human lives and contacts are another altogether different set of values.

It also puts a more personal touch to those terrible pictures we have seen on the News reports -- we are all living in a smaller world now....

Thats a nice touch Andy, good on you.

Looking at those news clips, I cannot imagine how mind numbing it must be to either know that your fate is being sealed by nature, or have to watch everything you have ever known in your life being washed away.

I just hope that they can get the radiation under control, the consequences of that are beyond horrifying.

Trouble is - apart from the current set of of problems that the Nuclear power stations are going through - what other viable power source is there ??

Being green is one thing but going back to a pre industrial age does not appeal .....

I have maintained the safe use of Nuclear power, the best two examples being the Japanese who have used the power source. The second and the best in my view is the U.S.Navy. Largest collection of nuclear power on the planet and ZERO accidents,ZERO lives lost, and when needed these fine ships were the first to be sent to help the Japanese.

The truth is simple the hype is complicated, I hope and yes pray that Jason is safe and his family does not suffer. But the main thing Japan requires is power, and our Navy and the Royal Navy can supply this power via Naval nuclear power.

This has been done in our own country in the early 1930, battleship California powered San Francisco suburb after that cities power supply was damaged.

I n modern times this is a solution for the Japanese who need power, and the Navy can provide this power and also water,300,000gallons a day can be created from seawater by our Nimitz class carriers. The is already happening in Japan.

We can only support these people, and Jason. Hopefully they will recover, and we will all learn a lesson about who really is in control on the Good Earth. Blake
