Help with paint choice for KT

My XF61 Dark Green basecoat is turning out more sewer brown.


(Ignore the traces of very bright green that's Vallejo Model Air 71007 Olive Green)


I wanted it more like this....


Maybe a wee bit darker. Any suggestions for a better colour?
I thought at first I had got the XF61 mix contaminated so I mixed up another batch.
I wonder if paint can go off. It is an old jar.

It's goes onto a light grey primed base as sewer brown and darkens to a very dark OD after heavy spraying.

Looks excellent to me very realistic. When I get my KT I want to do the late war Octopus scheme, everyone seems to go for the Autumn falling leaves pattern. Good to see something different.

Once you have stuck some white washes over it followed by a dark yellow wash it will start to look more like what you are looking for.

I had a bit of a "Oh noes i broke my tank !!" moment there.
I painted it 1st thing this morning and it looked a lot darker than it is. The colour grows on you.
I might just go with it.
It's just different to what I was expecting.

Nothing wrong with that at all. Looks like a war weary KT should look.

Thanks for the support. It was coming out brown but now it looks like a proper drab washed green. I'm quite pleased.
Bit of a new haircut moment.
