If you're wondering if if the RX18 will blow a 7.5 amp fuse.

It will. Stole a 10 amp from my car because I forgot to pack spares...........you think I'm pushing my luck with 10 amps on the main power?

Yes, that seems very high? Why is it blowing fuses at all? I have been running 7.5amp fuse able quick connects in my Tiger for well over a year and have never blown one.

What type of Motors and gearboxes? How much weight? Are your boards fan cooled? I'm at a little over 20lbs,and use Gruapner speed 400 race motors,11tooth pinion gear connected to an Asiatam steel 3/1 gearbox with no issue.Check out the ratio/gear calculator which should detail the max amps based on you motors and gearboxes, here is the 2009 link where I originally installed this drive package and their was a discussion of the amps and how this effects the RX18.

Stock Heng Long gearbox and motors and tank except for my bearing and idler mod...........this is the first time it's blown since fusing it. I do have a 40x25mm fan blowing on it. I have my motors fused as well, and neither of those fuses blew.

Swathdiver would be the expert,but he does not come on the forum much any more. Then you could ask Phil@RCTANKWARS as he does have a lot of knowledge about the power systems. Is their a chance that your shaft mod is binding the drive in some way? I have alot of weight in my Tiger and my Jagdpanther and have yet to blow a fuse. But as you say I have two fans and my RX18'S are all elevated allowing a constant air flow that does cool very well.

It's definately not binding. I would also think that the motor fuses would have blown before the main fuse, especially since they are only 5 amp fuses. Funny thing is that it was in the parking lot not really doing much. Go figure.
