Hi all,
I have exhausted all avenues and need HELP! How do I trigger the flasher unit? More to the point where does the 2 pin plug go??? I'm not running IR, just want the flash when the recoil unit functions. Yes it works as it flashes when I short the 2 pin plug, where do I now connect it?
Thanks,
Mic

if you look at the rx18 you will see cn2 and cn3 the two pins goes into the extreme right hand side of the cn3, so when you look at the board, the cn3 is in the top middle of the board, put the plug to the last two pins on right hand side. hope this helps. dave

Know the feeling, the Heng Long flash unit is triggered by a microswitch that is built into the recoil unit fitted to some Heng Long tanks, namely the StuG and Jagdpanther.
Ideally the kit is designed to be a simple upgrade to IR battle tanks, for people with the airsoft it is not so simple.
So you can fit a recoil unit and wire it up, other routes is using a piggy back signal from the airsoft mechanism although you will need to find a way to reduce the voltage.

It is never just "one" tank!
Re: HL Flasher Help required
I tried for ages before finding that this worked using only one wire.

Does that fire on the K button?
I know the trigger mechanism requires 4.6v (those wires are the ones making a loop around the micro switch).
Good idea will have to try it

I never use the 'K' button cos I hate that recoil. Just a quick push on the left stick fires it.

Re: HL Flasher Help required
Thanks for all your help and comments, after alot of trial and error I came up with a solution as the timing was all wrong through the RX18, so, I cut the plug off and mounted the flash unit in the turret connecting wires directly to the Asiatam recoil unit and micro switch. Works brilliantly! I also fitted the module from RCTANK.DE to get rid of the 'HL Jerk'.
As the Flash bulb is to big for the L60 barrel, it is mounted in the breech. Still looks OK but I'm going to fit a Modellbau barrel and drill it out to get the flash closer to the muzzle end.
