Time to give RC Tanks another go....

Post by Robert Davies »

Hello!

I've been dabbling with RC Tanks for a few years, mostly in 1/24 (Marui, then VSTank) or 1/25 (Tamiya/Academy conversions).

An Academy 1/25 Panther RC'd

I think its time I gave 1/16 a go now.... :D

Nice Panther. Looking forward to seeing how you go with 1/16 scale. Any plans on what you will build?

If things work out, a Matorro KT should be at my place shortly - with a view to upgrading the electrics, gearboxes and detailing.

If things play out differently, I see a HL Panther G or JP somewhere in my immediate future :D

I believe Heng Long are about to start selling a King Tiger. If upgrading the electronics Elmod is worth looking into.

John, no reflection meant on you, but HL have been 'about to release' the King Tiger for a little over a year now - I'm not holding my breath!! :D As far as electrics go, I was more leaning to rx18 upgrade, with an eye on Tamiya DMD etc for the future.

Sparks, mt 1, icemonkey, everyone else(!) thanks for the welcome :D
