Airbrush and compressor

Post by nickmow »

Guys, Im not one to shout about stuff much but last week I took the plunge and got one of these of e-bay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AS186-COMPLETE-AI ... 2eb1d46a6b" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

84 quid all in all. Im just finding my feet with the airbrush and was using lots of cans of gas. Found a review of this setup on another site and too a leap of faith.

Glad I did, not only does it come with the compressor but 2 x airbrushes one of which seems to be more of a spray gun type but is still duel action(I hadnt realised that somehow) Nice and quiet when its operating, cuts off when the tank has reached the desired pressure and you can regulate the output again from the compressor using a valve. Certainly made a difference, no more cold cans or propellant blasting out. Quiet enough to avoid domestic violence :thumbup: . I know it was a bit of a pocket bender but I think its worth it. Build quality seems pretty good, the Airbrushes are unlabelled but again seem to be well made. No leaks apparent.

Like I said not one to make a fuss, but if your thinking of getting a compressor I think this one does the job and is well priced.

Oh wait heres the review, same bit of kit just not off e-bay

So have I! I had mine delivered on wednesday and I am on my fourth coat, including black primer. I am still getting to grips with it and am spraying a spare tiger I have.

I will post a few pics on here shortly, although I am very nervous as I am just getting started. I did the barrel extension mod before I started painting and learnt a few lessons there as well. :)

Airbrush compressor providers that provide machine-like calm. The main advantage of the equipment without noise, is that you can concentrate on your work without distraction and noise can not disturb others if you work at home. Although it may give you more money, it worth it because you will not have additional costs for insulation and other methods to reduce noise in the compressor air brush will do.
