hello

the metal variante is about 0,6mm messing the polysterol variante is about 1mm
what thicknes do you prefer?
it is one of my new elefant produkts, still not in my shop but you can order it.
but the metal variante is relativly expensive 45 euro the poly would be 15,-

do you mean this hinges?

thanks Chritian...my wife says too much money on tanks(mondays are never nice!)...and Alfa's..so I have to hold off and use what you already supplied.

They are very nice! and I guess I can make my own hinges too.

Hi If you have problems breaking drills and taps on aluminium, try using a little parafin ,it lubricates the drills and taps helps stop the swarf clogging them, old engineering trick. It works better than cutting fluid.
Love the build I am thinking of getting one of these from Chris ,just need to sort out some other things first ,but this will be my next project.Im saving now.

good idea with wax...but, where do all the little bits go then? I broke the taps going too deep, and being too lazy to back out and clean out after a few turns. the new tap I mentioned above is far superior than the dubro tap and I was able to do another 15 holes with no problems..and it was the correct blind end tap which helped.

Chris' kit is very good. But, I stongly recommend getting aluminum lower hull and polystyrene upper hull as it is very easy to work with (not the grey one, white 3mm poly like mine)
