RC Armory

Post by CBrunt »

Hey Guys,

Would appreciate any and all input/insight/etc on the subject of the 1/8 scale RC Armory kits (King Tiger). See a few posts regarding them and the company's site seems nice and the kits seem to be well made. Look like a great model that's pretty simple to get going. And most of all... affordable!!

I can't afford- let alone justify- getting one of the large scale kits from England... Otherwise I'd get a Comet :)

Anyway though, I'm wondering just how durable this Sentra tank will really be. Also, the injection plastic roadwheels... I assume in scale, solid plastic is durable enough.

Thanks for any help!

Cheers,
Clint

The thing to consider is the drive and suspension systems. Plastic road wheels are fine but what about the control arms and how they are tensioned. Have you looked into Steel Dragon's? Their unique system requires some metal work but the end result is a steal tank which is very durable. All I/m suggesting is to shop around before deciding, also if you can have the larger scale for the same money then why not? And their are many parts for 1/6 scale on the market. Cheers Saxondog
