Re: Painting faces step by step
That second to last pics is so realistic that if you hadn't told me it was a painted model I would have thought it was a photograph. You are a genius.

Re: Painting faces step by step
Thanks Wibbly Wobbly. It helps if you have a good model to start with. Those two tank riders are some of the best for facial detail. I think they do a nice Wittmann style model also. Quite a few in their range.
If only I could do what you do with Elmods. Managed to blow one up already although RCtanks.de were able to get it repaired for me. I am venturing into 1/6 scale next. Picking up an Armortek Late Tiger 1 with all options. Got it second hand but untouched in original boxes. That should be an interesting build and lots of electronics for me to mess up with gun powder thrown in just to make my life even more complicated. Thanks for all the help with electronics.

That is a really helpful piece. I am only a beginner and figure faces were a complete mystery to me. Thank you for sharing this great information

Good Morning,
This is the thread I always refer back to when it comes time to add a Tank Commander. Instead of the Pre-Painted Zombie Mutants that come with the Tank from the factory, a little care ( and a big magnifying glass! ) produces a usable figure. Thank again, John!
regards,
Painless Wolf

Ad Lav.
We always think everyone else can paint much better faces than we do.
And they are usually right, of course.
