hi thats the one i got mine off ebay half built for about 14 quid it looked like it had been painted with a shovel but luckily all the major parts were still there
Stug, You've just stirred me into action after seeing your cracking little VW. I've just managed to hunt down a kit from a guy " darn sarf ", so hopefully will have it for crimbo. It'll go into the pile with all the other kits to do, should be started some time octoberish 2018.
nice one i was planning on doing mine rc so it has the steering, motor and diff off an xmod car i got cheap. but it didnt
have enough power it was slow and quite poo so i gave up and kept it static
They are asking 70.00us for this one. Just goes from unfordable to unbelievable. But I may have one by grace, good will, and forum comradeship. And for all this I am truly thankful. explanation to follow,Sax
I was wanting a Kubelwagen, and a Kafer Beetle in Gray European/Eastern Front paint work. I got my wish from a member of this very forum, the Kafer split window Beetle was on the way. Wonderful, I had never had one and it is a kit I have wanted. so when the box arrived imagine my surprise when inside the very large box are both kits, Kubelwagen and Kafer Beetle,
Fainting shock, then fear! Yes fear, scared, worried. I am so grateful for this gift, but the wife thinks I spent more money on another kit.So after the mad face syndrome I realized that this is perfect time to start on the VW. Hell she's peeved so why not go for broke?
I want to thank the member who sent me such a fine gift, now to do it justice seems only fitting, hope my skill will be up to the task.
cheers and Merry Christmas
(Note: To hell with Ba Humbug,Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All.
You're a lucky buggar Sax, I'm still waiting for mine and with the snow disruption here, I won't see it anytime soon. Having said that its a minor thing with all the problems people are facing this Christmas and I thank my blessings I'm luckier than a lot of people. Enjoy your build mate.
